Down 2 pounds this chaotic week! I'll take it for sure, I was afraid that the cortisol from stress might cancel out the good food choices. It was a bad week, but I think I handled it well. Hope that doesn't sound conceited. My MIL and I have a special relationship. She has been so very good to me since the first time I met her 49 years ago. I could not have asked for a better mother in law. At the age of 90 a broken hip is usually a death sentence, but she is beating the odds big time. I as more grateful than words can express.

God is good. Happy to hear that your MIL means so much to you. My MIL was more like a mother to me than my own mother. Very special lady, but you don't hear about a lot of in laws that really get along together, so that is special. Good job on the loss. 2 lbs is just 2 lbs closer to your goal. Have a bless day.

I checked out your weight loss since January of this year and you are in the fast lane on the fat secret highway. I love the progress you have made thus far and I am extremely proud of you. Your mother in law sounds like she has a fighting spirit and that is important as it is also a mind over matter issue as we age. A lot of senior have injuries and start to believe the end is near. Having been in physical therapy with seniors I can tell you that if they give up then the prognosis is bleak, but if everyone around them gives them positive talk and support they can turn it around very quickly. Just because they have snow on the chimney does not mean the fire in the fire inside is fading out. Keep supporting her and watch her recover. Keep your fire up going strong and you will reach your goal in no time.
