My weight, with the refeed, seems to swing about 4 pounds over the week. With the 4 grams of water that 400 gr glycogen retains, we get 400gr + 1600 gr... 2kg. 2kg = 4.5 pounds. Looks like that's what's happening and it takes about a week for the weight to clear. Salt, also, can hold 1 to 3 pounds, but give up salt? Yeah, right!

:) Thanks guys. Herder, having this understanding makes it far easier to keep on track since the oddball weight changes don't affect you psychologically the same. I hate not knowing why.

Big discussion as to rather it's the sweet or salt. It's salt for me. But that's what I say now.

What is refeed? I can do without salt but have a nasty sweet tooth that argues with me constantly.

A refeed is used to trick the body into thinking it's heading into a time of plenty. The theory is that it will allow fat to be more easily accessed since more food is on the way. It's normally used by people who have gotten to a lower body fat level. The body does try to protect its fat stores.
