WOW - 40 hours again? why not 16:8? ...sugars and flours cause me inflammation so I feel "heavy" and my joints ache.
|
I've "cheated" & had a little bread, or a little pasta and my belly swells right up. Funny, never noticed it when I ate bread and/or pasta every day.
NM - do you have nothing but water for 40 hours? No broth, or anything else?

I'll have a couple of cups of chicken broth. Maybe 50 calories total in the day? Coffee isn't food, so that's where I get my energy from. ;)

recently,i've noticed the same as zelly, and I used to bake a lot of breads and pizzas, never really noticing the discomfort. Just thought that it was normal. but this keto diet seems to have quieted my gut.

I agree with Cerobit - the keto diet has eliminated a lot of joint pain and helps me lose body fat.

Can't do it. Or maybe I don't want to. Making a stuff salad.

Oh - NM, I wasn't suggesting you do it - just commenting. I know you have a concise plan you follow and it works great for you.
|
Yes, HCB. You have that kind of power over me. :D

The replies to your journal remind me (once again) that everybody is different. If you are happy with a 40 hour fast I'll cheer you on.

Was peeking @ UR food diary & saw Huckleberries. Recalled a post a while back where many had heard of them, but never seen nor eaten them. Just got my spring seed catalog & they're offering a free pack of huckleberry seeds if U order. Burgess seed & plant co. in Bloomington, IL. Directgardening.com for anyone who wants to share the joy of huckleberries. :D

They're awesome. I just have to wrestle the black bears for them.

Wrestling black bears burns extra calories, right NM?
