dragged my butt out of bed for an early meeting where the other person, on the east coast, didn't show up on time. just need to make sure I remember to stop early today, which I usually forget. I have a lot of stuff to do this weekend before I go back on the road.
2.83 miles at Sadie speed. Lots of Halloween displays, some are really, really cool with sound and fog and animatronic displays. I'd love to do something like that, but I don't have the storage. strangely enough, this reminds me of a story my friend who passed away told me. she lived in a town with lots of houses that are more than 200 years old and she loved open houses. with the plague, while you could still do the open houses, there wasn't as much oversight (opposite of California) and so she was able to wander. well, she wandered into the finished basement, but then opened a door into a root cellar - which was dark and full of skeletons when she reached in to turn on the light! she shrieked at the top of her lungs and freaked everyone out. seems the owners kept their Halloween displays down there and no one thought to warn prospective buyers. this is the stuff I miss from our talks. I guess I should start writing these things down and sending them to her daughter as memory cards.
started a new WOE last night by accident. left the quiche on the counter for a minute. Chance grabbed it and ate as much as he possibly could in his bed before I figured it out. unintentional calorie deficit day at that point. we're both learning.
