OK, just this quick early weigh-in before I leave on my anniversary beach getaway. My ice chest is packed with yogurt, cottage cheese, string cheese, hummus, and green machine juice. I have a bag of healthy snacks. Not only will I save myself a bunch of money, I will save the regret of eating crappy fast food, only to feel terrible physically and emotionally afterwards. Yay for me! Yay for my husband being on board. Have a great weekend everyone. I'm crossing fingers and toes that this yucky weather clears up BEFORE we head back Monday afternoon.

I've tried Weight Watchers, Atkins, low cal, and so on. WW and low cal i was always hungry, Atkins I CRAVED bread and sweets, and was tired ALL THE TIME. I have screw up meals every so often but knowing that I can have those once in a while (and it forces my body to stay in a state of confusion) keeps me going. Its gotten me 40lbs.
For the most part i stick with salads, yogurts, eggs, and stuff with a lot of protein in it. The yogurt keeps me from craving sweets.. the rest of it i just like, although I'm tired of salad.
Basically, you just have to find something that works for you.. weight watchers might not be it. Personnally I thought weight watchers food was nasty, plain, and the portions were so tiny I stayed hungry.. and thats not a good combination when you've got cravings.

Thompson, definitely you need something that works for you. I watch my portions and calories, eat the healthy foods I like (no processed or junk foods) and exercise. Don't have the journey many do on this sight Bu have lost 50+pounds and need a few more to make me happy. Eating healthy and exercise is a lifelong commitment for me to live at least 40 more years and be fit and healthy. Also to avoid that promised knee replacement.

i hate both things... but after I saw my DA photo, I was thoroughly embarrassed. I tried to blame it on the lighting in the picture and even the ID card lady.. but then I looked in a mirror and knew I had to make a change. I've slowly integrated exercise into my routine. So far, over the last 3 months.. its worked great for me. I dedicated myself not to weigh in every week because at times it can be depressing, I usually judge by how many belt loops i can get into comfortably. In the next couple of weeks I will be making new holes in my belt and buying new clothes because these clothes are just feeling like tents

Thanks everyone! I didn't eat as much of the healthy snacks as I thought I would, but in three days we only ate out 5 times and I did fairly well. As for the rain, it was yucky until Sunday late afternoon, threatened to clear up early Monday but then got foggy again. It was beautiful up in Astoria, where we enjoyed the Mariners Museum. Once we headed home, it was beautiful closer to home. All in all, not a bad weekend!
