Well, I've been AWOL, eating a bit too much, not really dieting, undisciplined and sporadically exercising. No wonder my weight has crept up. Yesterday, I had a 24 hour stomach bug and a total purge, so that seemed like a good time to start a fast. I'm now 48 hours into the fast, and not hungry. Maybe this can jumpstart me back into a weight loss focus. I'm still down 55 lbs., but I've been fluctuating in the same 10 lbs for months now. I'm ready to jump off this plateau.

How in the world can you go that long without eating ? So if I could fast for that long my weight would start getting easier to lose ?? Is that how it works?? Great post. Thanks for sharing

Tammeeee, fasting is a great tool for jumpstarting weight loss or jumping off a stall. There are many ways to approach it. - through a daily fast 16/24 hours for instance, one day a week, of 3 days a month or 5 days a quarter. Anyway there are many benefits including resetting your setpoint, tightening up loose skin, cleansing the system and of course, losing weight. Look up Dr. Jason Fung . He's the fasting expert and he uses it to turn around Type 2 Diabetes, etc. He has good YouTube videos and books. Starting a fast is a little intimidating, but honestly, the hunger passes. I'm on day three of no food and not hungry as long as I stay hydrated.
