I had a scale that couldn’t make up its mind. I took the average of three readings. I hate being an engineer lol

I choose to have an analog scale, I don't trust the digital ones.

A scale is like a liar... it'll see what it can convince you to accept before you call 'em out on their "stuff" and kick 'em out of your house.

I don't trust scales with batteries or springs. I bought a used balance beam scale from a doctor's office.

If your floor isn't level then the scale will be off. sit marble down, if it rolls away you found the 'scale problem'.

One thing I also read in my instructions for my scale - if you move it, you have to push on it and let it rebalance to 0. If I don't do that, the first measurement is usually off, but the rest are consistent.
