I don't get it. One day I can lose 3 pounds, and the next day I gain back 2.5. Does this happen to anyone else? Do you weigh in every day or once a week? Maybe if I weighed in once a week it will give me a better idea of what my weight really is. I'm addicted to that scale though. Every morning I have to see how I'm doing. I think it gives perspective on whether I really need to cut back or not.
153.8 lb Lost so far: 4.2 lb.    Still to go: 23.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I pretty much weigh myself every morning as well but only record once a week. I think I am addicted to it as well. It iritates me to no end to see that I have gained or days of it just staying the same. I am one of those people that want and need to see some kind of results for my hard work.

I'm the same way, crinkly! I need to see results in some shape or form to keep me motivated. I admit that I have an obsession with the scale, but I've gotten a lot better... Bestboysmom - perhaps you should keep in mind the weight of the food that you eat and fluids you drink can effect your weight as well. Maybe it's best if you weigh in once a week seeing as how your weight seems to fluctuate during the week - Also, try to weigh in around the same time you did before. :) hope that helps!

I weigh myself daily, to make sure I keep myself in check. I can do a lot of damage to myself in a week. Sometimes you gain water weight which can be eliminated by drinking more water and eating less sodium.

One thing that has kind of helped me so far to keep motivated is that I took a picture of myself at the beginning. I then took a picture a couple of weeks later wearing the same clothes and put them as my screensaver. That way they flash in order and I can see the difference that I have made even if the scale has not changed much. It will be kind of cool once I have 4 or 5 pictures and can really see a big change.
