Haha, I do the same thing when I forget to weigh and already have my clothes on! I hope it's not too intrusive of me to ask the reason for your hair loss? I agree with you 100 percent that more money is pointless if you can't enjoy your life and the fruits of your labor. Good luck today!

I could write a book on that money thing you’re talking about. Story of my life, no one wants to hear my story but I loved yours. All the best DP…happiness means everything money means very little most times. ❤️

Larilyn...who knows? Second pregnancy did something weird. (She just turned 13). I lost fifty pounds in 4 months on Medifast and lost hair. Gained back the weight but not the hair. Just through the years it has been thinning (or was). Seems to be back or getting there. Still doesn't compare to pretty wigs though. 😉

I was curious because during my weight loss over the past year, I lost a frightening amount of hair as well. My research tells me that aggressive weight loss often triggers a condition called Telogen Effluvium where hair follicles move into an inactive stage. It happens to bariatric surgery patients. I suspect that's what happened to us. Like you, I'm waiting for it to reverse itself - fingers crossed.

Your damn hilarious DP!!😆
Love the weight part, makes me feel better. Sometimes I have to say it over and over not to forget it as I go on to my chores.
Love wigs, have to find the courage to wear one.😊🌺🌻🌸

Good luck DP. You are so very right about the money thing and stress. Been there, done that until I was "forced" into early retirement. At 65, I couldn't imagine looking for a new job so I learned to live on less.. In retrospect, it was the best thing that could have happened!

Work life balance is so important. I left the nursing field because of this. I hope everything works out for you.

This whole post is so funny. I hope you find the right balance between working enough to earn enough to enjoy life but not having to work so much you can't enjoy it.

In 2018, I lost about 80% of my hair. I was flipping out. It was coming out by the handful and literally had to give my vacuum a “haircut” every time I used it. Thankfully, it grew back, but it’s taken years. Oh, and it grew back curly.

I lost three pounds doing CI/CO between January and March of 2021.
I’ve lost half a pound to 2 lbs every week since end of March using Intermittent Fasting (IF). It has saved my life! I have not "tweaked" my food nor increased my “exercise” of 10,000 steps a day plus some light yoga. but know that if weight loss stalls, I can work on cleaning that up a bit.
IF is the health plan with the side effect of weight loss because fasting confers so many other benefits to the body just by letting the body rest in between the "fed" state. We are either in a "fed" state or a "fasted" state and in modern society, we live in a "fed" state nearly all the time. Bad for the body! Heck, I lived in a "fed" state for the last 53 years!! My body is thanking me for the break!
The Obesity Code is AWESOME as a book of science based information. Dr. Jason Fung also has a lot of YouTube Videos that you can watch for re-caps and information.
If you want a more down home approach to information, try reading one of Gin Stephen's books "Delay, Don't Deny" or "Fast, Feast, Repeat"
She is a former teacher so she breaks everything down in such a relatable way. If you want to hear her speak about IF, listen to her on her pod casts, "Intermittent Fasting Stories" or "The Intermittent Fasting Podcast" which she hosts with another lady.

So as a former career junkie who still works too hard, you’re onto something, and it’s the value of your time vs compensation. Stick to your guns and negotiate for time away from work. Money isn’t worth anything when you’re dead and family is priceless.

Good luck 🍀 with the demotion & prayers you get exactly what you need. It is better to switch jobs than to continue in one that brings more stress or anxiety. 💗

I have to remember my weight til I get around to posting in my journal, since my phone app only allows me one post a day. My scales do save my weight so I can get back on later....but who has time for that. I'll bet you were distracted with the task of trying to get your life back on track. It's can be hard to balance work & the rest of your life, especially with kids still at home.I hope it all works home. in your favor ❤

DP, I think I am ~20 years older than you and you figured it out way sooner than I did! Your health, happiness and well-being matter way more than a title or paycheck! And most of us can find a way to trim the fat from our budgets. Good luck, I hope you get everything you want!!!
