The National Institute of Health - NIH - has a body weight calculator that lets you set activity, calories, duration and it spits out a calendar of possible weight loss toward goal. It's handy to see what the range of possibilities is (if this then that). I printed out a one year schedule to lose 70 pounds at 1425 calories and modestly increased activity. I'm going to see if I can pace myself to the projected results. It sets out a daily goal. Unfortunately, it - for some reason- starts with a rapid loss of a pound per day for three days, so I've got a little hustling to do before I catch up with that. Wish me luck!

It says that to maintain my current weight, I should eat 9 times what I eat today :D
Ordering an extra-large 12-topping pizza right now.

Interesting...I put in info for 25 days to goal and in the chart it has me get there but then day 26 and going forward my weight goes back up! I had to laugh as this is pretty much how it goes with me. Goal then up a little up a little then back down to goal and so on and so on...

@Jeannieselby -yes, but seeing as how I'm not 'just starting' the water weight 3 lbs is already a done deal.
