Okay, I'm officially starting again. I have drifted and gained. I'm recuperating from a concussion that has kept me from vigorous exercise and the result is an additional 40 lbs. So, here I am beginning again. I have a friend starting out with me, so that is great. I'm still 35 lbs. down since my highest high. I know what to do, and I'm here to make it work and to work it.

Good for you! Remember it’s what you consume that is more important than the exercise. You got this!

I’m so glad you are starting again. You did not gain 40 lb. because of the concussion, but because you continued to eat as though you were still actively exercising. When life intervenes and our activity levels are affected we also have to alter our energy intake goals.

Thanks for the support all! Yes, and there might have been some comfort eating when I felt so awful! On the mend now though, and the ketosis is supposed to be good for brain healing.

@ Kenna Morton BTW Concussions often cause endocrine disruption; mine messed up my thyroid. Brains do control everything, so once again, it's not always all about calories in, calories out. TBI can affect any and every system in the body.
