Day 5 of a planned 5+ day 'no solid food fast'
Blood sugar 80 mg/dL
👶🏾 Too-many-carbs :( Yesterday I took in over 20 carbs and over 1,000 calories. Yes, I would still lose weight, but it would take months to lose the 10lbs I still need to cut, and I would rather it take weeks.
Today I plan to only drink Green tea until tonight. I will even skip my 🥛 protein powder in my morning coffee.
@PrincessValerie and I went to the 🏋🏾 gym yesterday and I was able to do all my lifts except for the shrugs. I had to bring it down 20lbs because I was having a hard time holding the bar, because I was basically struggling to make it through the workout.
🏃 Anyway, I'm off for a run. Cardio for the next two days, and keeping my carbs below 10 should get the scale moving again...

good for you. a nice run will most likely pump you up a little. I have been bad reading instead of working out.

Wow more than 20 carbs from protein powder? Doesn’t a serving have 2 carbs? How did the fast go today?

@CrashtestDawnie - The Protein Powder is not pure protein so it is 3 carbs a scoop and I had a LOT of scoops. Plus the heavy cream is listed at 0 carbs but I have a LOT of cream so there are carbs that are not being tracked. So my FatScret log says 19 carbs but it is really almost 30 carbs. - - The fast today is going great. I never needed to consume all those protein drinks anyway (except on weight lifting days). I ran 5 miles, jumped on the scale and was down 2 pounds. Since I will only have 6 carbs of Protein shake tonight I should be able to hold onto this 2 pound loss tomorrow morning... I really don't need the Protein Shake tonight, because, since I have not eaten anything today, I-Am-Not-Hungry :) But, 'mentally' I want to 'have something' tonight, because its Friday!

@nikeit, @baskington - Thanks! The run was great. I did it on only half a 5 hour Energy drink (@baskington I know you are drinking those too). No hunger today because I didn't have my carb and Splenda filled "Protein Coffee" to trigger any hunger. I will have a Protein Shake tonight and then go to bed. I will be back on the Protein Shakes tomorrow because it is too hard to 'water fast' on the weekend when I have so much free time.

Oh wow I can see why the loss slowed down. Well, now you know for sure what the problem was And how to fix it! I don’t think I could fast through the weekend either. Too idle, too many opportunities to eat. It would be torture LOL

yes I love having a no effect no sugar caffeine option. I generally do the half and then drink the other half later when I feel the headache coming.
