there is indeed a difference there. I would say your willpower is not is question.
Surrender requires its own will and strength. stay strong. your progress physically, emotionally and spiritually is outstanding

@JLente - Thanks! Yes a big thing the fast brings is it allows me to look (and appreciate) the "spiritual" aspects of living. It forces me off the treadmill of 'eat-feel pleasure-feel hungry-eat'. Even the act of drinking water is consumed with the appreciation for the life giving force it provides.

@apantoja - On liquid only days I can consume 600-800 calories. On days I consider 'water only' it is about 50 because I still have a Miso soup that has small bits of tofu.

@Jipper500 - I'm with you! A month ago I said no way, people who fast are crazy and it is unhealthily. I only tried it because my wife was planning on a 3 day fast and I wanted to support her. Once I started I got hooked on 2-4 days fasts. This current one is the only really long one I have ever attempted. The thing is on day 4+ the discomforting parts pass and you are in a zone of no hunger and consistent energy. Now I'm hooked. Only breaking this fast on Thursday because I am going on vacation.

Wish I could attain the same attitude towards fasting
because the mere thought of not having dinner has scared me out of my wits.
Really admire the fact that you are so grateful and happy in life.
I'm sure you will always live in the moment
and carry out good results (even when things get tough).

Fasting is a quick way of losing weight. I use to do it many times especially after pregnancy just to lose those baby weight quicker. I would fast 3 days every week for 3 weeks and then the following week I would eat, but cut down my calorie intake to and vigorously exercise. At this time, I did something different I just work out 6 days a week and cut down my calorie intake to 700-800 calorie. I had to eat to focus my studying that’s why I can’t do fasting. So far... is working great for me it’s slow but it’s working for me. 😉 keep it up!!! If you do it every week and you watch what you it for the rest of the week you should lose 3-5 lbs a week.
