Great drop! Don't know if I should say poor hubby, thank goodness for hubby or both. Good to have someplace to vent because emotional eating will kill anybody.

I vented to him about work. Of my weight loss efforts, he said, "I want to support you in what you want to do. If you want to lose weight, I think you don't want to eat that." Also, "I counted three empty ice cream containers in the trash. The dogs ratted you out." "Oh? Did we stop at the gas station today?"

Congratulations on your loss! I'm glad you are refocusing, you got this! Keep going...I love ice cream too, that's why I distance myself. 'If you eat the same things, you'll look the same way' We have to change these binging habits and junk food habits in order to lose weight and sculpt our bodies to be the way we want to look!

It took me a long time to train myself out of my favorite stops on my commute. I get this kind of addicts longing still as I drive by and think about the things I used to buy and eat on my commute: the 'healthy' quart of flavored kefir or coconut water, the bars of dark chocolate and bags of nuts, the granola bars and bags of cherries. I'm sure I regularly knocked back 2000 calories on my way home, then ate dinner with the family.
Oy! Now I make sure I've got a jug of tea and that's all I allow myself. When I'm hungry I hear the siren call of those old haunts. If I'm so hungry I need to eat, I buy real food and skip dinner at home. ........ then there are those days, still when I blow it, but not too often.

It sounds like your husband is trying hard to be helpful.!

OOh, I hate it when people point out my mistakes! Hang in there, try to learn from a high calorie day what your weaknesses are. I have my own, and it's true, if we eat all the same things then we will look the same way.

That is the answer - experience the feelings in real time so we do not have to eat them away.
