A guitar student brought a small red snapper fresh from the ocean for me. It was delicious. Calipers are saying I'm down, but scale puts me back where I was a couple of days ago. I've come to trust the math of CICO, though so many vilify it. It works for me. It's all I can say. I'm not looking for a debate. I like to think of it the way Dan John (Never Give Up) puts it. Everything works - for about six weeks.

Utilize your tools as effectively as possible, and eat plenty of fish, with avocado preferably.

Nice drop Bruce...also nice to hear that the calipers are trending down!! I like snapper too, do you folks have any good Northern Pike or Pickerel lakes nearby? Agreed, CICO to me is just another tool (a very good tool), doesn't need to be used if you have a great handle on things like Mahjohn, but even he doesn't recommend not tracking input to most folks.

You're doing well. I miss really fresh fish and seafood since I got rid of my boat. Mackerel, pollack, scallops, crab & lobster freshly caught and cooked within hours (or in the case of scallops, minutes or even raw). Crab tastes much better when you've had to fight it underwater for your air hose (fortunately only a couple of times)

No pike or pickerel here. We have to settle for things like ocean halibut, red snapper, crab, salmon, or in the local lakes, ling cod, lake trout, or rainbow trout. :D Oh, yeah. There's a steelhead run about an hour down the road as well if you're looking for a scrap.

Thanks everyone. Phooka. Can't you buy another boat?

2 never frozen pieces of ocean salmon in the fridge. They're about a pound a piece. Tomorrow night. :)

Bruce, "settling"...pretty jealous, nice selection :-) we don't have anything worth eating unless we fly fish out west or travel 1/2 a day north. We do get pretty good fish over in Hawaii...Ono is my favorite, my better half caught a nice 4.5 footer on our last fishing trip, tasty, tasty...
