hootie47's Journal, 28 August 2015

only lost a pound this week but in actuality may have gained. Was sick last night or it would have been more. Have not been drinking enough water and my portions sizes have been high. Last night I carried a 5 gallon jug of water to my apartment which according to my pedometer is about 200 steps, not much but it made me realize how much weight I have lost! The water was 11 lbs less than what I lost and it was heavy to carry!!
238.0 lb Lost so far: 51.0 lb.    Still to go: 63.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

It is amazing how we can become so used to carrying around extra weight. I have a ten pound dumb bell that I had put in my backpack to go on a walk and it was ridiculous how much harder it made that walk, and it was only ten pounds! It creeps on slow, and we never notice. Thank you for your kind and supportive comment on my journal, it has been a battle but I am proud to be where I am. You have done well yourself I see :) Hypothyroidism can definitely make things harder, and I worry about my daughter as she has an autoimmune disease of the thyroid and will inevitably need to be on meds too. She struggles with her weight already. Keep up the great work, looking forward to getting to know you!

I have hypothyroid and have been on meds for years - it does make it more challenging but it can happen!
