I've only lost 7 pounds this month, which I'm trying to see as positive. Good things have happened, like the availability of clothing in my closet for public consumption again, the emergence of a collarbone, and an overall leaner look.
I still have that ridiculous back fat and a lil' pooch. But my bra doesn't push and squish out all the overflow of flesh under my T-shirts anymore, and the undies lie flat rather than rolling down.
The month of October is going to be just as stressful as September was on a personal level, and I have to do some apartment hunting (living lean so as to save for 1st month's rent & security deposit). Moving will bring the joy of a new place and new neighbors, but, well, anyone who's moved recently can remember all the stress of packing/unpacking, life lived as if under a construction zone, and using precious vacation days for the unrooting.
So this coming month I plan to use the stress to up the weight loss to 9 pounds gone, and break through the 140 barrier to the sweet 130's.

Love your determination and have no doubt you will get into the 130's. I don't envy you all the stress involved with moving, so good luck and best wishes.

Thank you, All, for the votes of confidence. I get impatient!!! Want to be thin TODAY. Har-har. All I can do is do better tomorrow and the next day and the day after that.

And to 1.O: I am going to rent a place that does NOT require new appliances to be wrestled on the stairs with. I learn from you. :)

Glad I could help. The appliances are an entire federation of tough cookies that obviously train harder than I do.

Thank you, Tim, for the high-five. Princess - if you've been able to keep of the 7 pounds lost in a month, I guess you are proof positive. I largely follow a CICO diet, because if I restrict too much, I feel tempted (like many) to blow all that hard work on a 1,000 calorie meal. And that's not a treat -- it's self-sabotage.
