Coming back. Took two separate walks yesterday, both short, but got totaled about 3 miles and change. Skipped my neighborhood Christmas party. Feeling much better this morning and will clear out my sick nest this morning.
I knew the sodium in the soup was going to get me. I ended up adding some canned chicken breast to add protein and that is full of salt even though I had added a couple quarts of water. It’s all good, I’m going to be drinking a ton of water today, too. Net result, all the numbers below are meaningless in the grand scheme of things. At one point this week, I hit 156. No reason. Didn’t log it because i didn’t want the mental drama, but it does mean that the vessel is lighter when completely empty. It’s about finding what works for you. Tracking daily keeps me from getting emotional over a temporary drop or bump. Now, one of the things that is pissing me off currently is that both my watch and the scale app are saying that my current cardio health is horrible. Well, no sh*t, Sherlock. I can’t breathe, I haven’t had an uninterrupted sleep in over a week, and there’s not a lot I can do about it yet. NGL, I had to rest after each of those walks although I think I can do better today. Unfortunately, I dropped something down the drain in the bathroom sink and I need to retrieve it before I do anything else. Not calling the plumber on a Sunday.
Managed to hang a wreath on the door yesterday, the outside decorations are complete for the year. I am going to do the Christmas tree today and I have a corner location for it that i think will be safe enough. Lights only, not crazy. These dogs are on puppy crack mode most of the time. Lili crashed into my shin with her head yesterday, no visible bruise, but it is bruised underneath. That’s the level of energy they release on a daily basis.
I need to bring veggies and fruit back. I have a bag of persimmons that will go pretty quickly if I ignore them too long. Will start that tomorrow. The chicken soup has been great for keeping the cough under control, but it’s not extremely filling and I don’t want to add a bunch of crap that would make it. I have been cooking pasta nests in the broth when I’m eating dinner. We’ll just get through this and move forward. I’m at 90 today. Tomorrow, we shoot for 95. I never did lay down on the couch and binge a bunch of anything. No longer in that mode, it’s not a bad thing.
In other news, one of the shepherds has figured out how to open cans of cat food without my assistance. I think it’s Lili because they left the lid and buried the can in one of her stash locations. Brat. Cans will now be put up on the higher shelves.
