Ended up swimming yesterday, interrupted by a phone call, but swam a full 45 because it restarted, so that's good. so, 1144 strokes, only 9 METs because the effort was interrupted, and average heart rate of 138. 4 min in peak, 25 in cardio, and 13 in warm up. overall, it's a good snapshot of how much better I am at this these days.
I'm feeling less bloated this morning, and that's the only way I can describe the past couple of weeks. sure, there was a little bump up, which we're working at, but I've also set some more explicit fitness goals now that I've decided to be happy and active again. make a list, work the list. speaking of swollen, if you want to reduce wrinkles on your face, have a giant puppy jump up and hit you in the face with their very hard skull. hoping it doesn't bruise since I have to go back into the office again tomorrow. and yes, I have ice on it.
Watched the latest installment of the Grand Tour last night. We both laughed so hard our stomachs hurt. Just a silly show with some of my favorite things. cars, , skiing, fire, and a scandi element to all of it.
Chance has spent his morning trying to catch birds in the back yard. I'm telling him no, because he's a phenomenal athlete and I don't want to underestimate him. The rescue texted me yesterday and the woman who adopted his larger brother wants to bring him to class. That will be fun. Chance was the runt, and I can't even imagine a bigger version of this crazy creature. His nickname is sharky shark, pic below shows why. He and Shasta have really bonded well, I was worried about that but it has definitely worked out and they lean on one another like Hogan used to lean on Sadie. funny how things evolve the way they should mostly.
