Five days of fun....up 1.2 lbs. I'll take it 😊
Back to my kitchen & bathroom scales. I logged what I ate over the weekend but had to guesstimate sometimes. My good habits went with me cause I didn't overdo it. Breakfast most days were similar to what I eat at home. Lunch was a sandwich with fruit & some chips. We did do some restaurant meals. I had a few treats & a few adult beverages but not really much more than normal.
We had a great time! We spent most of our time on the beach with a little pool time. We love floating in the ocean, listening to music, reading & just relaxing. We went out to eat Saturday evening & we went to the shops there where the resteraunt is. We went to the pool for an evening swim afterwards. The other 2 nights we watched movies on TV. Steel Magnolias Sunday night.
Our condo was on the 5th floor. The elevators were sometimes busy & to avoid a wait we took the stairs.
I did most of the driving over the weekend. Usually I don't have to, cause my sister drives half way then our other sister drives to Florida. I did ask her to drive a couple of hours to give me a break after I'd driven a couple myself. Then I drove to my sister's house to drop her off (2 hours), then another hour to my house. Most driving I've done in a long time.
Today, Hubby had an appointment with his Cardiologist & I went with him. He had experienced some elevated blood pressure & irregular heart rate about a month ago. The doctor had him wear a heart monitor for 3 weeks. He did a stress test & an Echocardiagram last week. He got good news today that there was no evidence of any heart issues to be concerned with. His doctor adjusted his blood pressure med. dosage & it seems to have helped. Every so often his dosage has to be adjusted....occasionally decreased cause it's too low. He is at a healthy weight & eats fairly healthy. He will be 79 next month. The doctor gave him the go ahead to join the health club like we planned to do.
The first thing I did after unloading the car yesterday, was water all my plants. The poor gardens were parched. I may have to replace the flowers in a couple of spots. (Annuals) The perennials all seem fine. The deer seemed to have left most everything alone, except for a pot of Blackeyed Susan's, that the decimated. I thought I'd sprayed them with repellant....but not sure now.
