That's better 😀 Yesterday I ate around 1700 calories....and no late evening snacking. We usually are up til between 11 & 11:30 catching up on our favorite TV shows. Then after getting ready for bed I may read til between midnight & 2 AM. I am not an early riser, so this schedule suits me. We eat dinner around 8 PM then I like to have a sweet snack after. I'm not usually inclined to eat any more after that. Hubby on the other hand likes his mid evening snack of chips.
I was pleasantly surprised to find 1/2 a bakery cookie tucked into the Oreos last night when I went after my dessert. Oreos are fine but I love a good "homemade" style cookie 😋
We had Flat Iron Steak for dinner with mushrooms cooked in the iron skillet with bacon, onions, garlic & a splash of wine & a dab of butter. Yum! We finally got the rain yesterday & guess who ended up cooking in the midst of a downpour. Hubby had to change his clothes before we could eat, in spite of the umbrella he tried to stay dry with. It was over a lb. of meat so we saved some to slice on our bagels this morning.
I bought a few more annuals to tuck into my planters yesterday. Mostly lantana (Deer don't like it!) & a small mandevilla. It's in a hanging basket on the deck so no worry for the deer. I also got 2 more tomato plants. They're a bit larger so I may see tomatoes sooner. I have to wait for the others to recoup from the deer invasion 😐 I pulled out the hose & watered yesterday....so of course it decided to rain after. I planted the annuals but still have to get the tomatoes in the ground.
Dinner is either a whole roasted chicken or a frozen Mediterranean pizza. I'll decide later. Time to replenish the freezer.
