Finally ... some movement in the right direction. Saw this last year ... need to eat more than I think and do extremely long, slow and boring cardio. Weird.

I think most guys hate cardio. I need to get back to the treadmill myself.

you know, Rhodes, I honestly have tried everything - endless box jumps, olympic lifts, sprints, intervals - and the one thing, if i commit to it, that eats fat, is 60 minutes of absolutely mind numbing cardio post weight workout. i can alter my diet where i eat less than 1700 calories, i can fast, i can eliminate carbs or fat ... but unless i eat at least 2200 calories on average, along with the cardio, i don't shed a pound. everyone is different - no one size fits all, so very strange.

I am in the same boat. I am going to hit cardio hard this month to shed this winter coat.

I feel your pain aout long boring cardio... Doesn't sound much fun! But the good thing is you know what's working for you, and that's a huge advantage. I guess now you just have to do it lol!

Yay for progress!! I'm still looking for mine, so I just have to go on feeling like I'm looking better, but for now, that'll do. As for the loooong, boooooring workouts - Music! Get some Kesha (I'm sure she's totally your type) or Linkin Park or books on tape or something. I find it helps turn my 50+ minute session on the ellipitcal into something that goes much faster in my mind. Find music that makes you smile :) You're doing great - keep it up!

yeah, you got that right, Steph ... Kesha not my bag. but music is the only thing that drives my workouts. i am more an arcade fire, pixies, wilco kinda music guy ... i need to download some new stuff, though, as the hour long cardio sessions has me running through all the songs on the shuffle a little too often. i intend to alter the workouts a bit next week - mixing in sprints, box jumps, or jump rope one of the days, but continuing the long slow cardio until i stall. plus, got rhodes' 100 push up challenge starting tomorrow!
