ok ... for the record, you can't just have a ~few~ chips or a ~few~ M&M's ... blink and the bags are nearly gone! frack!
no honest recording of food today ... holy moly. made the 600 calories of elliptical and hitting golf balls today worth nothing.

uh. Doritos. Especially on a road trip or while camping. Pair them two-bite brownies? Forget it!

yeah ... lays and ruffles ... sour cream and onion and/or sour cream and cheddar. have them in the cupboard for my daughter ... poor thing, she may be outta luck! ;) @Rhodes1970 - you keep them in the house? Or avoid all together? the way i figure, temptation is a battle of wills ... and i -should- be stronger than a bag of chips ... plus the kids aren't wanting to lose weight ... so why should they be punished by their pop's sins of foods past? maybe when i am 50 i will get it right ... sheesh.
and steph, two bite brownies are the devil's creation for sure ... yum ...
strange, for the past 3 months i have been ok ... "allowing" myself about 8 Peanut MMs a day, haven't had a chip desire, and some ice cream at night ... and just lately, past two weeks, i have lost it ... ready to strap on the straight jacket ... keep my hands away from the food!
too funny ... damn food manufacturers really know how to spike their drug!

My wife picks a bag up every other week and I kill a bag in 2 sittings... At least it is only every other week but I gave up smoking a little over a month ago,,, Can't give up the Lays Sour Cream and Onion... Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Maybe I should calculate the calories I am taking in and go burn off the same calories after eating. I will either burn it off or be too lazy to eat them LOL

Rhodes1970 ... i quit smoking december 31 this year ... i know that is tough ... and allowing ourselves a few chips is so much better than the smoking.
good for you ... i have tried to quit dozens of times since I was 20, now 44, and just this past year it stuck. i'm sending on a buddy request ... anytime you need help with avoiding cigarettes, give me a shout.

I have a question about that. I am a non-smoker and have some friends who smoke. In general I am fine to let them make their own choices. But when they start to make quitting noises, what do I do? I don't want to become the self-righteous non-sinner, but at the same time would love to support them in their quest for tar-free lungs.

it's tough as a non smoker to understand the guilt, cravings, internal fight that that is going on for someone trying to quit. there are those who can up and one day say "i quit" ... and do it ... i wasn't one of them ... and smoking was a source of argument in my first marriage ... she quit, i couldn't, etc. best you can do is know that drinking, food, etc. may trigger their cravings ... you just offer your support ... exercise is the best thing to combat it and the food cravings. so many excuses NOT to quit ... gain weight, etc. but nothing is more healthy for you than quitting. you just can't get too preachy.
