Up early. Counting the days to the 5K race. 32 DTG. Got a plan and going to try and stick with it. Ran 2 miles at the easy pace this morning. Kind of stalled on the weight loss. Even after committing to the 5K training program, threw caution to the wind and had a rasberry flip and a sausage and egg biscuit this morning. Why do I do that? I guess I have had my reward already, just in case I wasn't successful in my weight loss. :) Tomorrow is a rest/cross-train day, so I will probably do a half-hour on the elliptical.

DW came back in good spirits from her 2nd chemo treatment. Said the doctor expected her to go through what she did, and it won't be the last time. Oh, goody. :( Since she doesn't get another treatment this coming Monday, she's going to try to get an appointment for that day at the Cancer Center to get fitted for a wig. I asked her what was the sign that she was losing her hair already. She reached up grabbed a handful and pulled out a few strands of hair. So, it has started.

Wow 32 days is so close!! You are going to do just fine, especially with that reward you've already had lol Good spirits is the positive way to look at it, and maybe the wig will help keep her spirits up as well!

wow, wow, wow. Hope the rasberry flip and a sausage and egg biscuit (whatever that is) keeps your wife in good spirits for a bit. She's amazing. What a rockstar. I always think that for them to go through what they are going through, the least we can do is accept our own challenges. Have a good day, DK. Tomorrow is 31 DTG on your race.

Pleased your DW is feeling in good spirits -:). 32 days whooaa. - you'll thrash it - I guess for you, it is about the time you do it in - have you got a target time, or are you just going to go with the flow?

Well, Sk1nny, it's always about the target time, but since I am no speed demon, and this is possibly in preparation for the 15K the following month, a 9:30 pace would be just fine with me. Erika, I thought your race was this coming Saturday? And Heather, it's a rectangular turnover filled with cream cheese, raspberries and calories. :D And Bren, I got it all from Casey's (our local Convenience store), much like a 7-11, or a Convenient Mart. They make them fresh every morning, so I normally stay away from there. I had to get gas there this morning, and that was too close to the temptation. Yeah, Sassypants, I think it will keep her spirits up. The question is, "How many are we going to buy?" We tend to go a little overboard once we get into something, know what I mean? But it's OK; whatever she wants.
