Not sure if it's the weather, been raining last couple of days, circumstances (work), or my diet, been struggling with my old foe depression. See where I am at on my weight and see where I want to be (even though my goal weight is still considered overweight) it still discouraging. One day at a time,

It just hit me this evening... my depression could be that my birthday is this Sunday. And I always get this away during this time, due to feeling like my life is a "waste." Compared to my "dreams" as a foolish High schooler, and where I am at today.. <career wise> would disappoint anyone...

I would get so overwhelmed by the task I have set out to accomplish (losing 1/2 my body weight) that I have changed my goals. No more than 30 lbs at a time, hitting "milestones" like new BMI catagory, nice round number, whatever...just break it up into goals you can see. You'll build victory momentum, and teach yourself you *can* do this. I've lost 150+ pounds this way, my first goal was losing enough to register in my scale (350!)!!! Now I've got 3 goals left- "overweight" BMI, 199lbs, then 180 (or whatever feels healthy!)
