it has been so long since i've recorded a entry. i was reading my last entry and began feeling so depressed. i use to get up, walk my dog, go to school and pretty much feeling ok. I had to put my dog down after 15 years in
Feb, and i never knew how depressed i would feel OMG, it still hurts. I picked up weight, i stopped walking as much, work hours changed, school is getting a little stressful. i got on the scale this morning and I'm way up 14 lbs since my last entry. I'm feeling very disappointed in myself. i cant lose weight, at least as much as i want to. i'm addicted to food. i can lose weight on the low carbs but if i eat a subway sandwich, i'll get sick then add 5 pound for eating it. I'm tired of trying but i don't want to give up, i feel like the she hulk if i don't eat. i can't do this alone. oh well, sitting here complaining want help, i'm starting further back then i wanted to but here i go again.

Hey you! you CAN do this. Don't give up. You can do it. Just try not to think too much. Think of how you will feel after losing just 10 pounds. Great feeling right? That's your goal. That feeling of achievement, not just losing 10 pounds. Keep going and get a game plan together and stick with it. WALK. #1 it is a stress reliever. #2 its good for you. No matter if it's just 10 minutes or 60 minutes. Do it every day. After a few days you will get your inner strength back. You got this!

It can be very hard to get started again but if you do I can promise that each step in the right direction will help get you back on track. Think baby steps. Do something positive today like take a walk, drink more water, eat a vegetable, healthy fats and proteins, do something nice for someone else. You pick Let yourself grieve the loss of your dog and know that the love you shared is eternal. Every step in the right direction is a step in the right direction.

I feel you. This is just as hard, if not harder, as when I quit smoking. At least with smoking, I could avoid it! With food, it's ALL OVER.. And my office, with it's big glass windows, overlooks a sort of courtyard filled with restaurants.. and sometimes.. those smells... I've curbed my 'addiction' by watching documentaries such as 'Obesity: The Post Mortem' .. this one scared me..fat isn't merely a problem of looks... seeing how the fat was choking her organs.. smothering her from the inside... I did cut all main-plate carbs, not because I don't like carbs, but because I know anytime I overeat it's on carbs. So no more pastas, or white rice... I do occasionally have bread, and I count those before hand to make sure I don't over do it. You can do this, We're in the same boat :)

Best thing you could do (for yourself and for the pooch you pick) is go down to the pound and find another dog to keep you active and happy (Man's best friend). Then, take each of the items you noted: one by one and think of a plan to manage. Make sure you can start off with one item that you can succeed at; success breeds success. Maybe 6 days on, 1 day off ...(but not too far off). Put a reward in front of you for sticking with it for 6 hours, then 12 hours, then...; but also have a penalty (maybe a gift to a charity you normally would NOT support) if you don't make it to the goal. Your "diet" is for life; it's the type of diet you're trying to modify.

I wouldn't agree that the best thing to do is to find another dog. I guess its my years.. but after having a few pets that lasted 10+ years and having to put them down, it's a horrible cycle that I can't do anymore. As much as I miss my animals, I just don't have the strength anymore to love another one, only to bury him...

Maybe find one of those websites that connects dog walkers with dog owners. Or volunteer at the local shelter or animal farm. I used to volunteer taking dogs on walks at the local animal shelter.

Maybe see if you are gluten-intolerant - one sandwich shouldn't be so hard on you!
