Wow - Bruce, that is gorgeous! A little bit like far northern Minnesota - of course near Canada, eh?
|
Are they like wild blueberries? .....so plump!

They're more tart Erika, but they're wonderful in everything. In pancakes, pies, muffins... perfection. They sell for about $60 a gallon. They have no seeds. lol. HCB. Yes, Canada is close to Canada. :)

Gotta love the unsolicited diet feedback. My favorite is the "concern." Like "I hope you lost all that weight intentionally."

No, it was all by accident!

People seem particularly alarmed by the mention of fasting. Best not to bring it up, casually.

I think the funniest was from a guy I knew who hadn't seen me for about a year. He was a great guy. Sadly now gone in a tragic incident. His comment was hilarious, and knowing the source was the most perfect, tongue in cheek congratulations I ever received in regard to my loss of weight. "Hey, man, you got a worm?"

Nice pick, and love the dog. Are huckleberries something you can eat? Sorry, just a stupid flatlander.

Yes, Warren. They're the best berry. Tart, powerful flavour, dark purple. Extremely rich in antioxidents. No seeds. Just perfection. I was a flatlander once.

We had huckleberry pie and huckleberry ice cream while we were at Glacier National Park. Yum!!

@NM Genius! "Worm" definitely trumps the "intent" comment. That's what I am going to tell everyone who asks from now on. #tapewormdiet

After my husband's car accident last year, he lost 45 lbs while in the ICU for weeks. Terrible wasting. But once he recuperated and has stabilized at slimmer weight, we tell people that he lost the weight in the 'crash' diet. :o

Bruce, add nature photographer to your list of talents. I love all of the pictures, but especially like the picture of the sun rays coming thru the trees and how Tika is framed in the fallen branches. I've never seen a huckleberry in my whole life. I can send you a picture of plastic containers of strawberries and blueberries I bought from Food Lion. :D

Crash diet. That's funny (tragic). At least there was some good came of it, Erika. Brenda. Most people do believe food comes from a supermarket. With a little luck I'll do a photo spread of how to gut and process a moose this fall for you.
