My wife has this thing where she always puts my food scale 'away' because it causes 'a clutter'. It's 5" across and about 3/4" thick. Anyway, today I put the toaster away, which gets used once a day by her, and maybe once a week by me. My scale is used 4-5 times a day. I think it's more logical to put the toaster away.

OK, I HAVE to do it: Jimmie pop corn, and I don't care!! I know, I just dated myself. It was really before my time, but my Grandfather taught the song to me!

SheaD. There is absolutely no need to bring slavery into the equation. :| I'm just trying to say men have as much right to be happy and have things their way, from a logical perspective, as 'anoyone' else does.

@Shea They actually taught that song in music when I was a kid. In between showings of Reefer Madness and nuclear airaid drills... #wtf

I'm totally with you NM. If it's not being used that much, put it away! And the scale is being used all day long so it DESERVES the place of honor on your counter. That being said, a woman's kitchen is her castle... so good luck with that. LOL

Funny, Northern! I wouldn't dare pull mine out with her here. It seems like that kitchen is not my territory. I buy and pay for all the food, and she complains what I buy, but its now the food I choose, she complains about it, but if you want different food, you buy it. She puts her check in her retirement. Not bad, but she still complains.

Ahh.. I dont touch my boyfriends stuff-unless I talk to him because he never seems to be able to find anything. But if things are really messy I will clean and organize... goodluck with the wife. lol

Oh, and guess who makes the house payment? It's more than her monthly check too! I shouldn't post when she is yelling at me. lol

@warren thats what I do with my boyfriend! I buy the food so I make the choices. If he wants crap its on his paycheck lol

Laura, I could never get away with saying that a woman's place is in the kitchen, so I'm glad you did. lol Soo, I make my own breakfast 7 days a week. I make my own lunches 6 days a week, and I cook the evening meal 3-5 times a week, so whose kitchen is this?

Put it in the silverware drawer? I have the same one and that's where it goes. Out of the way. No whining from disinterested parties.

NM, I was just picking at jimmiepop. Never associated that song with slavery, since I thought everyone my age had cracked corn before. I agree, you should keep the scale out, as it is a vital addition to your meal time.

I think that makes your point in a funny way lol

Ha, Ha, Ha, you're too funny. Yes, put the toaster away & crack out the scale. But I do say "the toaster adds color to the counter". I see her point.

No toaster! That's brilliant! Then all you'd have is bread! Who wants bread! Oh, @Kaysea. I just looked at your bio. I'm sure I'm a lifer here as well. :) @Shae. "Jimmie crack corn, and I don't care, my master's gone away." Some things are sure good to be rid of.

My husband has given up pushing around my stuff...there is the scale, MCT oil, coconut oil, etc. on one side, and glutamine, BCAAs, whey protein and pre-workout canisters on the other side...
