Day 2 of the car drama. Last night, the check engine light came back on my wife's car after wires and plugs were changed in the morning. Called mechanic to inform him that I was coming back. Stopped to gas up and fuel started coming out onto the ground from somewhere below the car. Didn't tell her because my job is hold her tightly in my arms as much as I can and look deeply into her eyes, kiss her and tell her everything is going to be alright even when I have no idea at that moment what will costs be for this repair and where is that money going to come from.
Couldnt sleep well with this on my mind. This too will pass. I made a egg and cheese on an English muffin for 2 of my boys and 2 eggs with one slice of cheese for myself with no English muffin for me. Left for the mechanic around 8:30 and I've been here now for 2.5 hours doing some self reflection.
My jeans are looser, I'm getting faster in my interval trainings, I have oil in my tank to keep my family warm for the rest of this winter season. I have support from my FS family. Thank you all!

I'm sorry for the car issues. I myself had one as well and I spent 3 hours at the dealership getting it fixed. My engine light was also on and they discovered that a mouse or some other critter was chewing on some wires and it caused the issues. At least my dealership is honest and they told me outright that for the $15 part to fix it it would be $391 because of all the labor that was involved in it. It stunk for sure but at least my car is running smooth again. I say thanks for the small things so they don't become big things. Bless you for how wonderful you are to your wife. Have a much better day!

Car problems do suck! My hubby's engine light went on a day ago and we are meeting up to drop his vehicle off tonight after work! I know mine is due for a oil change...next week for me...Good luck buddy...By the way...you are a very romantic guy...I bet your wife is crazy about you as you are as crazy about her! Hope all goes well!

Fuel filler neck replaced. Sensor ordered based on the code for the light. Paid the bill (ouch) and moved on. One battle at a time.
