Yes. Measure yourself. Whenever you get one of these times, it means your body is re-adjusting and you switch from fat to muscle, which is less volume for the weight. I've been on a non-moving scale for close to 10 days but moved a hole up in my jeans belt and lost almost 2" in the waist and 1" on the hips.

Maybe do a fast? Or shock your body with something out of the normal routine?

Carb spike off at least 100gms net for the afternoon and evening, then back on plan, except drop the total calories per day... Looks like too many

you have to eat to lose.. 500 cal is way to low

Stick with what you are doing, 500 cal is not the answer. "Shock your body" is a great idea from (EDC1972). Keep you calories, maybe walk for 40 minutes, try making your heart rate go up for a couple minutes, then slow down couple minutes, up and down with your heart rate as you walk. That might wake your metabolism up.

What happens when you are Low-Carb for an extended period, your ability to convert stored fat to energy slows, as your body now knows it is Winter (no sugars incoming). You give it a high spike of carbs to trick it into thinking it's Summer and rev it back up again. Also, look at your total calorie count. Are you "feeding the fat", pick the weight you want to be....subtract the body fat % you should be at that weight, and that is your LBM or Lean Body Mass (that you want to get to...) use that LBM number for your calorie calculations. If you eat for the weight you are...why would your body want to burn any stored fat?

Well, according to your food list above your fat content is way to high. 105.41 is off the charts. Try aiming for 60g instead.

I am consuming about 1000 calories a day and my fat intake is about 20g. Instead of 60 shoot for lower than 60.

500 calories/day is NOT enough. You can actually throw your body into shock by reducing your caloric intake too much. This causes your body to latch-on to any fat/sugars it can and stores them thinking it's in an emergency!
Try mixing some weight training in at the gym! You'll burn way more calories a lot quicker and your metabolism will spike for a few days after your lifting session!

Maybe get rid of the half and half and the cream? That would reduce about 200 calories...

TK817 - I believe FloridaAngel is doing a ketogenic plan - which means high fat is essential because she also does very low carb and the energy comes from the fat burning
|
try the bullet proof coffee...if you are in keto...lots of energy and no need for food...thats only if in keto diet...other wise you can gain more weight....

Rckc, good point. The half and half has been my crutch for my sugar thirst and really not a coffee fan. I'll probably stop buying it and just take a caffeine pill instead. Other great points from all my FS friends! You guys are the best!
