My first day started well, I am such an emotional wreck when I am attempting change. As soon as one little thing comes up that upsets me...I eat...all the wrong things. Today I will put together a small container of healthy munchies for those moments. It is bitterly cold here today but if the wind is calm and the sun is out I will go for a short walk with Lucy.

Packing meals and snacks ahead of time is a great idea and an excellent habit to start. To help this you can try to make meals the night before, even breakfast if you like things like quiche. Even having a little separated area in the fridge or on a counter for the next day's worth of yogurt or veggie snacks can help. Planning your meals for the day ahead of time can keep you from daydreaming about or worse, making those bad decisions.

Change is hard for sure, especially as we get older. I have always thought of myself as a work in progress so welcome good changes. It's the hard or frustrating ones that send me to the comfort foods. I agree with whyausername that having prepared healthy snacks for those "go to" moments is a great idea. I need to do that myself!
