Considering a 24 hour fast on Christmas Eve day. Who'd do it with me. Nothing but water from Wed evening until Christmas morning. Come on now. Who's in?
193.2 lb Lost so far: 6.8 lb.    Still to go: 1.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

You guys can try intermittent fasting? You fast for like 16h and you eat in a 8h window I'm actually doing it and it makes me prepared for the holidays ;)

I might switch from coffee to apple cider vinegar or Louisiana Original hot sauce instead of water or maybe in addition to. I'm really kinda excited to try this. lol

Rckc. You can if I can. Dadalaterreur. I could pack in about 5k calories in an 8 hour window. Yeah, I know. It's a gift.

Dr. Fung allows coconut oil in coffee and bone broth for his patients on their fasts. He says the effects on the fast are very little. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Good luck, guys!

16/8 is my typical day. People assume you're simply really hungry at hr 16, and chew off your arm in addition to any food laying around...it just isn't the case. It's morning here, off work today through the New Year. Had dinner last night, Salmon and Broccoli, some Wine...Coffee this morning (rarely eat breakfast), will be at the gym by 10:30...1.5hr workout, then a quick bit of shopping. I'll either eat some fish at the store (eatery in the store), or have my shake when I get home. Either way, I'll be at or past my 16hr mark. It's very doable, and doesn't take much to get used to.

I'm the same way mahjohn. I've never been a breakfast eater, in spite of it being "The most important meal of the day" which turns out to be bogus. Maybe when we were all up at 5 and tending the fields and in bed by dark it was important, but I think it's been debunked. I do have breakfast when I'm 'bulking' which will be very controlled from now on, and the excess I'll cut in once a week so I don't have to 'diet down' in the future. Coffee is a staple (actually a quad shot of espresso each morning).

I've eaten cookies and sushi, a bite of chicken noodles, shrimp today. I will be starting a fast starting tomorrow morn til Christmas morning. I WILL be having my coffee with coconut oil tho, I just cannot give it up, no way no how! Oh, and a piece of candy...

Lech, I'm low carb high fat, and intermittent fasting. It's a play on bulletproof coffee. I use the coconut oil and leave out the butter. It keeps me full til late afternoon.

too late now, I'm already drinking my coffee hahahha. Plus, we're going to a trampoline place this morning and with me being hypoglycemic, I can't workout and not eat anything. And our family is having a dinner tonight. Good luck :-)

I slept late this morning. Just put on a pot of coffee, not feeling the least bit hungry. I've got a lot of loose ends to tie up today and this evening so I doubt if I've got the attention span to think about food. I did bake a delicious mac and cheese for my girls last night, smelled great, but I abstained. It's really been a fairly quiet Holiday season around my place, could use some livening up. Supposed to be doing a big family gathering tomorrow, too bad it's not today. Miss those days when I was a child, had a family gathering on both sets of grandparents with the aunts and uncles, seems like a Dickens tale anymore and seems that long ago, gotten older the grandparents all gone, aunts and uncles either gone or moved away. I miss that for my three year old, she's got no siblings or cousins her age. Anyway, sorry to wax sentimental, good luck with your fasting day and keep us posted!
