I've decided this 'time of year' is in my mind. Seriously. If I over eat by 600 at a dinner function, that's 1 day diet to get it back. If I have 3 days over 600 at Christmas, it's three days to get back on track. The only thing that's changed is the amount of, let's face it, crap around that's tempting me. That's it. That's my plan. Last year I gained 10 pounds in a month. No going to have a do over.

I went 300 calories over and my scale said I gained 2 pounds. I have decided to weigh once a week. I don't want to give the scale that much power over me. Be kind to yourself. This is a tough time to get through. Have a great day.

Very very true. I don't know when the holiday season became a license to eat like piggies but our bodies don't care whether its December or June. I have no interest in trying to lose an extra 10 pounds on top of the weight I need to lose so I am just trying to keep to 3 meals a day and keeping the calories at eat about 500. If I am going to 3 parties then dammit I am not eating at home. That's my plan anyway.....

My 'Christmas' usually involves several weeks of overeating. This year it will only be a few days. That can't do too much damage, and I will enjoy it! Weight gained quickly is normally also lost quickly, because most of it is, basically, water.
