Deborahg382's Journal, 12 July 2015

I've been away. During my absence I dabbled into all kinds of no, no's. I put on over 20 lbs. Erasing my 50 lb loss. I'm excited because I am back on my journey down. I regained and hit 220 lbs. But as of today I'm 209.6 lbs. I'm intermittent fasting every four days, and I throw in 1 fat fast the day before the water fast. Looking forward to getting back to 196 lbs, my lowest weight in years. I was in Onederland for maybe 4 weeks before I started cheating. Weigh day is July 16th. That's when I record my new weight. I'm happy to be back on track. :)

Forget that noise. You did not erase your 50 lb loss. You only erased the last 20 of it. You're back, and by that you've shown that you own the responsibility for this. You're back. You'll kill it. Glad to see you.

By the way, I was 165 last summer. That was too lean. I hit almost 200 at Christmas. Stabilizing now at around 180 with the glycogen/water stores loaded. I hope to stay about this weight or cut slightly. Muscle gain and fat loss with this stable weight would be preferred. I'm being a big more realistic with my goals.

I think anyone that fasts for a whole day needs a mental check up, losing weight eat often eat smaller eat tastier all sustainable are you going to have fast days until you die? nutty

Beasty. Some do have fast days off and on until they die. Used in moderation, it's a brilliant control and exercise in self-control. What's crazy is adding a product on top of what you're already eating, whether watkins, shaklee, herballife, or ginko whatever. Are you going to do those things for the rest of your life? Fasting is easy to control. It's very different from eating and purging or cutting until you're anorexic.

wouldn't it be nice if we could just post what has worked, is working, what hasn't worked, etc....for us PERSONALLY? Instead of negative comments. I love to read what other people have tried or are trying. Some things I do, some I don't. I have learned so much on here but it seems like recently there has been a lot of negativity....

See? She is being ridiculed for her choices that work for her. Why do people do it? Do what works for you Deborahg382!

I also think this should be reserved for reviews positives and negatives not for shaming and blaming anyone for what they have tried or not tried. Keep it clean and to the point.

Thank you all for the support. I LOVE the result with fasting beyond weight loss. It helps with removing toxins, lengthen life span. Its a win, win. I'm just glad I'm back to being focused and not consuming that stuff that got me close to 250. Northernmusician, sounds like you found a sweet spot. Can't wait to get there myself!

Hi Deb... I'm in the same place. I'm away from home, too, and I can't seem to stop eating all the wrong foods. I'm hoping this 'Biggest Loser' challenge can knock some sense back into me! It ends two days after my birthday - a really good goal!

I recommitted myself. It took a scale scare, but I'm board fully. Not half hearted like before. Lovingdogs I'm experimenting with fasting to see if I can get away with cheating a little and still lose weight. The jury is still out on that one.

Hello there, my stats are very similar to yours. I started at 230lbs about a year and a half ago and lost 50lbs. Then, in the last few months, I had medication changes (for depression and social anxiety) and gained back a whopping 30lbs! It's frustrated me to no end. Now, I'm back, starting at 210. (well I started at 220, but wasn't documenting it then), and lost 10lbs since then and am at 210 now, which I'm re-starting my fat secret to give it a try. It is so frustrating however as I seem to teeter around 210 and haven't dropped since. I'm thinking of doing intermittent fasting also, but I do fast every day, meaning I stop eating around 6pm, then don't eat again until the afternoon the following day, after midday. I'm going to try the fasting for a full 24 hours next.
