Good Morning, FS Warriors! It's been a crazy busy few days. Yesterday, the power company called me, and they don't want to take the Lineman's word for the quality of the installation, so they are going to send one of their engineers out to take a look at it before the Lineman installs the meter and hooks up the overhead power lines. It's OK with me. Last night, I figured I had better install the indoor service and make sure there were some functioning circuits, just in case he comes today and wants to look outside and inside. I didn't get done until about 10:30 last night.
Then I had to get up a little earlier this morning. First, I try to spend at least 30 minutes with the new puppy and Mack out in the yard before I go to work, and before I put her in her kennel. She has a pretty large space with lots of toys and a clear view of Mack, but I don't feel comfortable keeping them together when I'm not around. She's ALL puppy and likes to jump on him and bite his ear and pretty much annoys the heck out him. He tolerates her pretty well, but after awhile, he snaps at her and makes her back off. He's a pretty big fella at around 120 lbs., so I figure it will be at least a month before I'll let them both run wild together without me around. She can't even get through his doggy door right now.
The second reason I had to get up early was to vote. Even though I always vote, this time I'm on the ballot. I was only appointed to the board temporarily to fill a vacancy. Now, the election will determine if they will keep me on there for another 4 years. It's in the Lord's hands now. I enjoy it, but I won't be devastated if I'm not elected. I just don't care for the ones that are running against the existing board members; they appear to be in it only for their own agenda.
Trying to watch what I eat, and that seems to be what I'm doing these days - watching it all the way from my plate to my mouth. :) I'm sure I'll do better. I am definitely an emotional eater. When I'm stressed, as in trying to get too much done at the same time, I tend to eat whatever is available. Not good, I know, but I'm just being real here. I hope everyone has a great and wonamous day. Toodles!

No pictures or icons. It was like this yesterday too. Must be a FS site problem. Have a great day!

It is not just you, there must be a glitch. You've been working hard. Good luck in the election, hope it turns out the way you want. Puppies are so much fun. It is smart of you to give Mack his space now. The puppy will learn, but taking it slow is the way to go.

Hey DK - you sound well today and have worked on professional boards, too. People volunteer but seldom follow through - I would say they need a person like you who starts and finishes projects!
|
Hopefully you get voted through!!

I meant to write, "I have worked on professional boards..."

Let us know the results of the voting.

Pooh on the electric company, but better safe than sorry, two heads are better than one, etc. I am sure you will pass. I have been having an issue with the food. It is like I really want something, don't know what, and nothing seems to appease that feeling. Hope Mack gets used to the puppy soon. I agree that the method you are taking is the best. Good luck with the election!

You've been so busy! I hope that the election results are what you want/need. Probably a blessing either way.

Congrats big guy. Can we call you Mr. Mayor or Councilman King?

No, not so glamorous. Just a Village Trustee.

When I got my new rescue pitbull puppy, she would ANNOY the heck out of my 2 year old morkie to the point she did not want to be in the same room. For 2 months I would separate them when I would go to work. Now that my morkie loves the puppy and the puppy has learned to calm down a bit..i keep them together when I go to work so they have each other.

Glad you won the election! Always interesting introducing a rowdy pup to an older dog. Hope all goes well with that.
