I’m eating less than 1,000 calories today, in preparation for tomorrow. Then, if I go above 2,000 calories, I won’t feel like I’ve broken my streak of staying under since June 23rd. Or, even if I have to say, “I’ve stayed under 2,000 calories every day for five months, except for Thanksgiving Day,” I’ll still feel good about the accomplishment. (Note: before I started calorie counting, I was eating over 3,000 calories a day.)
