Good Morning, FS Warriors! It's only 8:00 A.M. here right now and I feel like I could just drift off to sleep. I would if nobody would notice. Dang, I hate it when work gets in the way of my personal time! We had a 2 hour meeting at the church last night to discuss a joint effort with the Optimist club to have a kids day and interact with the community. Then we had worship and nursing home practice. I got home about 9. Went to bed at 10 and got up at 4:30. Seven hours is more than I used to get; guess I'm getting old and lazy.
The meeting with the delinquent tennants went OK. We took them to a local bar for supper that had a fried chicken special. I showed him my list afterwards and took him on a tour. I told him I have more work than he would be able to handle for as long as he was willing to work. He seemed to be onboard with the idea, and thought my plans were right on - but too busy to start until next week. Hmmm. I found out Tuesday that he is one of the few people in the county that the wireless internet provider can find to climb the towers, and he does it for $11.00 an hour. I wouldn't do that for $100.00 an hour! I'm paying him $15.00 an hour and my work is not nearly as demanding as that. We'll see. I didn't press him for what is keeping him from working. Hopefully, when he is able to start, he'll keep at it.
Not much else going on. I'm still winning the war against the Snack Monster. I've lost a few pounds from doing nothing more than avoiding in-between-meal munchies. It's a start. Hopefully, with a helping hand, I'll actually get the concrete broke up downstairs, put in the drainage tile and drains, and get the pool installed. I haven't given up on running, but I'm thinking it's unrealistic to be thinking about running half and full marathons with all the work I have to do. I'm sure I'll lose just as much weight and get in probably better shape swimming against the current in the pool. I just have to get er done.
Now if they would only put a cot in my office at work. I'm sure they would get more out of me. Well, anyway, doesn't hurt to dream. Here's wishing all my FS Buddies a wonamous Thursday! Toodles!
