Watch your labels. I noticed that this bag of nuggets looked different than the last one in that the pieces were smaller and more breading. No biggie, right? Calories are higher. By about 1/3. Going to have to decide if I want to keep buying them.

Happens in basically all the bagged chicken...
Tyson, Perdue, store brands, etc...
We get the strips, not nuggets, but there's always some smalls mixed in too, but less breading is exactly why we get strips.
Averages out by the end of the bag usually, but sounds like you got a bag with more smalls than most.
I'd mentioned this same thing to my wife last shopping trip.

Very annoying indeed. High impact on your protein intake as well.

right? I didn't even think about that as I was focused on the calories, but more bread means less protein. guess we're back to home-cooked chicken boobs. oh well.

They (food companies) can so tricky with this sort of thing. Good thing you checked. ⅓ extra calories add up very fast.

They must have been delicious then Katsolo, right? We’re they crispier? Maybe it’s because they’re having a harder time with chicken supplies. Funny, sounds like the chickens need pencils.

I doubt it's being tricky in a deceptive way, because the nutritional information on the bags has to be somewhat reliable. I believe it's more of a business practice so as not to create unnecessary waste.
Caveat Emptor... 🤔

I think it’s supply stress just like my kale salad mix having less kale. My friends are doing the shopping this week and they’re out of nuggets completely. At least I know his to cook. 🤣

Should have read How to cook. And in other news, cable and internet are down until 8:00 PM on Super Bowl Sunday. Oh boy. I’m functioning as a hot spot but no 4K UHD tv.
