Update on the surgical consult: the surgeon found not only one hernia, but 5-6!! YIKES! He told me to figure out when I'd like to have the surgery and go ahead and schedule it. I will be meeting with my dept head tomorrow at work to discuss possible times (my dept is very small and so we cover for each other when one of us is gone). I am hoping to be able to schedule for 8/11 as there is no one in my dept taking vacation between 8/11-8/28, which should allow me adequate time to recover. Everyone keep your fingers crossed for me :) I am SO READY to live without pain in my tummy!!!!!!
