Did a TON of grocery shopping today. Went to BJ's, then ordered Amazon Fresh for delivery tomorrow morning at 8am, then went to Food Lion for the few things I couldn't find at either of the first two places. I got a small watermelon (not as sweet as the last one - frowny face - but edible) Got all of the ingredients to make a nice big salad tomorrow. Bought BOTH the Skinny Girl Ranch dressing and the Walden Farms Ranch dressing. I'll try them out tomorrow. It would be a tremendous blessing if I like one of them as much as I like homemade Hidden Valley Ranch Buttermilk Dressing! Would save me about 200 calories on a salad!
Tomorrow, besides making the big salad, I plan to cook a few vegetables to have with the meats I bought - cooked baby carrots and some green beans (from seasoned canned). That should provide plenty of vegetables for the week. And, between the watermelon and the cherries, I should have plenty of fruit available.
Ending the day today at 1,676 calories (If I don't "Ambien eat" tonight! I'll do my best!) Kids coming tomorrow. Have to vacuum the pool before they arrive. Twin friends joining us for our little swim/picnic time. The pool water is NINETY-FOUR degrees today! Maybe I should take out some soap, and we could all get nice warm baths in it! Hope it will be at least a little refreshing in the 93-degree expected high. Maybe we'll have a breeze.
Went to PT today, but cancelled both appointments for next week so I don't wear out my knees before we get to Great Wolf Lodge. My doctor's scrip is good through August, so maybe I'll go back the week after GWL and see if I can continue to strengthen the muscles that support the knees to put less stress on them.
When I was bringing in the heavy groceries today, I stepped onto the scale with two really heavy bags and found out that this year I've lost THREE TIMES what they weighed. It was really hard walking up the stairs with them. Maybe when I lose the other 40 pounds I need to lose, it will make a significant difference in the strain on my knees.
Well, hubby just finished his work, so it is time to watch the 4th episode in the Harry Potter collection. Neither of us had ever seen any of the movies. The first three episodes were available for free on Peacock. The rest of them were only available with the Peacock Premium (paid) subscription. We checked out how much it would be to rent the remaining episodes on Netflix, and they ranged from $3.99 to $4.99 just to rent. We checked out the Peacock Premium, and it is only $4.99 a MONTH, and you can cancel any time. SO, for what we would have paid just to watch episode 4, we'll be able to watch the whole rest of the series. I love making wise financial decisions!
