Tulipgirl6's Journal, 04 June 2014

I am really annoyed; I keep trying to get into a routine and rhythm and it's so hard! I have a babysitter tomorrow and no car! My husband and I have one car and he has an interview in CT; hours away . . . . and as always too much family time and holidays gets to me . . . . I also have a cousin's wedding coming up this weekend; finding it hard to stay on track!

Get a couple pics of ladies you want to look like and keep it around the house. Anytime you get the urge to slack off, it's remind you of your goal plus give you some inspiration.

If you have a babysitter than just do something for you, even if its just a walk around the block as many times as you can stand it for an hour just to center yourself. I am driving up to my daughters this weekend and it scares me to death food wise but I just have to keep giving myself pep talks and tell myself nobody is forcing me to eat that

Best of luck to your dh on the interview! Is there something to do that works for you that you don't need the car? Walk, take the bus, ride with a friend. Make the time yours

I know it is really hard when you are young, have kids and only one car.

There are SO many resources available to you outside of a gym with YouTube, you always have a plan b available. Check out BodyRock 30 day hiit workouts. Also look up 8 min abs and 8 min butt workouts. :)

YouTube is the greatest! In a pinch, I walk with Leslie Sansane (1-, 2-, 3-miles) OR stretching/toning with Zuzka (I use canned goods or bottled water for 1-lb weights - (LOL)! Whatever...it gets the job done, y'all. :D

I've got a wedding this weekend too, as well as being a one car household. I know exactly how you feel. Just try to take it one day at a time, you are still doing wonderfully!

Yes .. even the best laid plans sometimes go astray. I see you got some great advice for other FS friends ... sound like some good options Tulip! :)

Thanks everyone! I really love the little guy bug I truly value the time I have without him to do stuff like errands and get things done; it's the last couple of weeks before summer vacation . . . .I went to sleep thinking I'll take a nice outdoor walk and go for a pedicure but, it's pouring rain, and my kitchen roof is dripping; hubby left very early for his interview . . . . I'm going to have to re-think the day! I will try to check out the videos! Oh, and my big boy's suit got a tear in it! I need to add boys suit shopping to my list . . . .

I can so relate as it's so important for me to find a balance between socializing and down-time. Do the best you can, one day at a time, and try to make time for you! xoxox
