Wow! So yummy I’m younger than you, but my father has sleep apnea so most of the time he’s asleep and we make food for ourselves (me and my sister) so we don’t really cook

Meta, I knew I had the chops leftover....I created as I went. Found a few green beans...added the onion, celery & peppers. I remembered the one sausage so cut it up & added at the end. Sometimes I do forget something is in there & it's not edible 🤢

Sometimes when food just goes too far in ripeness to eat, I toss everything in a big pot, add water and random herbs, then boil for 30 minutes. Strain, and now I've got a fantastic broth for soups, rice, or anything. Freezes well, too. Just hate waste and throwing food out.
