I want to get my excess weight off quickly, but if I overdo my exercise today, I might be reluctant tomorrow. I do as much as I can every day and look forward to tomorrow. Good luck, everybody!

Yup, good plan. For the last two weeks I've only been able to exercise every other day due to an exacerbation of my long-standing back/spine problems. Today, however, I just had a lot of energy and my back was hurting sitting, so I went for a brisk walk. Listening to one's body is really the only way to do it!

I know what you mean about getting it off quickly! But slow and steady keeps it off. You got this!

Definitely, never overdo exercise because, as you say, you will compromise your resolution and even your capacity for exercising in the next day :)

Just try to thing about other things and, before you know it, you'll be much closer to your objective ;)

What we *want* isn't always the best thing for us,as you note by acknowledging that if you overdo your exercise today you might be reluctant tomorrow. And,what we *want* we don't always get *when* we want it,as *my* Journal Entry makes note of today. But! :D We can be grateful that... "we just might find,we get what we NEED"(Hope you sung those last words) :D

Hi Deb - I'm right there with you but as I am a slow loser I have learned from experience that "slowly slowly catchy monkey" is the only way for me to lose and maintain... and when I say slow, I mean slow (!) BUT each week I imagine that I am looking better. Do what you can, when you can and without torture or brain strain and you will get the results that you want xx

I was about to give you my "sage advice", but skwhite already said it for me, Hee, hee, hee! I want to lose slowly too, but right now am losing even slower than I want to, so I'm considering more drastic measures too. I had a good breakfast today of oatmeal with a bit of molasses & cruched pecans. Then I exercycled for seconds short of half an hour, which is fantastic for me as I usually just do 15-20 min. I just had lunch of some egg drop soup. I may have a few crackers or an apple later, but want to get some more weight off ASAP to have the surgery, because then I know I can lose some serious weight much easier than now. Let's pull together gf, & you too SK White ~ Let's Do This!!!
