A good quote from one of the Success Stories people on the Weight Watchers site:

Look at your average weight loss over a period of a month rather than week to week. It helps keep frustration at bay.
I like this !! Good thing to remember if we ever get down about our progress!!!

Tomorrow is weigh-in day for me, I'm hoping for a maintain this time !! :D
But boy have I been busy !!! Walked at least 1.5 miles every day "on purpose" (except for Sunday which was a weather wash-out) and my Fitbit is recording 4-5 a day total with all the walking I do at work each day, this since I put it on Monday.
Feeling great and always looking forward to the next time I can go walk. I know I am building muscle, so the scale numbers will reflect that. And that's OK !!!

I signed up for my first 5K (3.1 miles) on April 12, The Color Run. I'll be walking it. And it's going to be a blast !!!!

Looking at monthly averages definitely helps when you feel like you are in a rut! Have fun in the 5K! I might be walking one in early April too. Haven't decided whether to do the 2 or 3.1 mile walk yet though. It is April in a desert, it will be at least 80 degrees if not hotter. Did the 5mile/80 degrees today, but not sure I want to commit to too much in case it is a bad week for me.

I agree with that. I figure this is a long term process, not to get concerned over a day or a week. My personal goal is to be as fit and healthy as i can be for the rest of my life.

I agree as well! It helps us realize we are not it this for one day, but the long haul.

This a great tip actually, it is so true. I'll keep it in mind every sunday for my official weigh in. Thanks!

I wore same clothing I wore for weigh in today as I did last week, and actually lost almost a pound. I am seeing a difference in my body after the three weeks of Curves and especially after the three weeks of my purposeful walking. Toning mostly, definitely not bulging muscles, but the pretty toning in the lower legs and the upper thighs. Enjoying this :) I am looking forward to The Color Run (aka Walk for me) and will have to have a photo made of me all splattered with paint :) My first runner's bib too :) WOO HOO !!!!

Jeanine, I don't do heat well, so this summer will be a challenge for me to keep it going with the walking. Time of day will be crucial. It's not as bad as when I was really heavy - I was ALWAYS hot then, even in the winter. I'm hoping I can tolerate it better than before.

Good for you on the 5k

Haha... I am in So. AZ... I won't be able to walk outside by the end of May! Not unless I am awake and ready to go at dawn! We also have "light restrictions" because our area has a lot of observatories... so there is no chance of a walk before sunrise or after sunset lol. The streets here are DARK! Anyhow, keep up the good work and I will be rooting for you!

That is awesome! I did a color run once and loved it! Races always have a ton of energy all around. Good job on the walking! I had someone tell me once that it doesn't matter how slow you're running/walking - you're always going faster than those on the couch.
