I just discovered that my weight is now below where it was a year ago. That whole year was spent "off the wagon," indulging all my cravings, over-eating, and not recording what I ate. I'm thankful for this little bit of encouraging news. I hope that NEXT year at this time, I will be down about 59 more pounds than the 34 pounds I've already lost this year. That will put me at 165. That will put me down 94 pounds from when I started going down on 12/27. I praise the Lord that He has given me the resolve to make this progress, and pray that He will continue to empower me to change my eating (and drinking) habits.
"My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, which is in me, which I have from God, and I am not my own, for I was brought with a price. Therefore, I will glorify God in my body and my spirit, which are God's." I Corinthians 6:19-20

Don't ever get/be discouraged, DC. Our bodies are in shock when we try to lose weight bc the longer we've carried our extra-weight, the longer it takes to lose it. When we lose, our body has to adjust and realize that this is going to be the new "new" body size before it begins to shed weight, again. Just continue to eat properly-proportioned items and make sure that they will be doing your body justice in the long run and you will begin to drop weight again. It is a perilous, arduous, treacherous journey we are endeavoring in. God knows I didn't gain this weight overnite. I gained it when I stopped caring/worrying about what I was ingesting. I and my hubby were so happy to be together, when we got together in 2007, that we ate whatever we wanted w/o measuring it or thinking about our beautiful bodies getting fatter. Before we knew it, our physician is telling us we need to exercise and begin eating less, etc. We both were body-builders, back then. Just take your time, don't eat anything until you have thought it out and weigh the decisions. That's the mistake we did. We ate blindly and w/o caring nor thinking about the consequences. We felt our beautiful bodies weren't going anywhere and we didn't pay any mind to maintenance anymore....EOS

It’s so hard, I started dieting in 2019 (again..) I was at 212 and got down to 156 now , and been stuck there. I think I am afraid to give up more calories. I get an hour of exercise and more almost every day, I am actually afraid to take time off from my exercise routine. I started something new last week. I do 16:8 (Leangain) which I don’t eat from 6pm until 12pm next day. I actually do 18 hour fast. I find I don’t eat as many snacks ( which where always healthy or low carb/fat). I really have not felt deprived, during those hours. I did have to move one day from 7pm to 12pm. My weight is at 149. I want to get down to 135. I am 69 and my skin looks droopy, but I feel good and spandex works wonders. My advise to younger people, lose weight before your skin looses it’s elasticity. Congratulations! Your journey is going in the right direction also.
