OK I can see that the next 40 pounds or 10 pounds or even 1 pound are going to be VERY DIFFICULT! the 2 day fast - I broke down late last night and had salami and potato chips. Went to a brunch today and didn't eat horribly but not sure exactly how to count it! my weight's not going down at this point, and no matter how good everyone tells me I look, I know the truth: I am in a lull, a stall, a plateau, I just hope I'm not silently gaining weight! I wish it were as simple as not eating to lose weight, or getting the macros right and losing weight . . . . how do I return to that fit self????? my problem is I'm not being patient . . .. .

Tulip you know the answer to that is one day at a time. It is so easy to get frustrated and turn it on yourself but push against that and do the opposite. Patience is a necessary tool for this journey .... losing weight takes time, focus, will power and discipline. We are all human and we can't be all of those things all the time. Take a deep breath, let it go and get back to your plan with renewed focus! Hang in there ... you are a work in progress..... we all are. HUGS.

Yes Tulip, I agree with Jenns comment. I too am so guilty of being hard on myself. I have been on this plateau for the longest time. It IS so frustrating. Hang it there. One day at a time.......

Look back to your weight history and see what day you lost weight. Look at what you ate the day before that. Also look at the exercise you did. You will notice what the healthy things were and then try to get back to doing that again. Good luck!

Give it time; release the guilt - that alone weighs immeasurable pounds. Enjoy today, make good choices, get up tomorrow and do it again. Love yourself at any weight and give your body time to catch up with what you've achieved so far. It'll love you back and reward you.

It can be hard to be patient when we want something so badly. Sometimes it's not even that we want it right now,it's just that we want it!& we have wanted it for so long. But,for a moment, imagine that you did get what you wanted RIGHT NOW! Go ahead ...imagine it! :D You've overnight somehow managed to be your ideal weight goal, complete with the shape, tone, muscular physique you dream of. WOW! Fantastic, isn't it?! How great would that be?! :D NOT TOO GREAT,with overnight success you would miss out on ALL the things you need in order to keep you in that ever so longed for body! You wouldn't know how to maintain what you have. It's THAT process that will make & DOES make all the hard work we do worth it.Because *without* the knowledge & how to apply it we'd wake up from our stupor & still be the person we are desperately trying to change or whittle down to size. Let me say that once more with emphasis:*without* the knowledge & how to apply it we'd....still be the PERSON we are ...trying to change. :D You see,it's not *really* about changing our *body*....it's about changing our *person*, our thoughts which change our actions which change our body! :D Good to know, huh?! Makes it ALOT easier.

Thanks everyone! Great advice and deep emotions! I want to control what my body is doing and it's reactions on a day to day basis but I think ( at least my body doesn't work like that); it's more of a continuum and I have to look at the overall picture.....
