Good Morning, FS Warriors! And a lovely Saturday morning it is! Sun is shining. It's still in the 20's, but a cold sunny day is better than a chilly dreary day. IMHO. Up at 6:30 this morning to hook up with Jillian and get it on. Then off to the treadmill for my walk/run program. Even though I've been keeping my jogging at 4.5 mph until I get up to 30 minutes at a time, I couldn't resist the temptation to boost the last minute up to 6.0 mph (10 min. mile). I've got to tell you, it felt pretty good. Only raised my heart rate 10 more BPM than it was. I don't think I could sustain that right now for all my walk/jog training plan, but it's good to know the legs will still move that fast and probably faster as the year goes on. It's kind of like sex; at my age you just never know if you can do it until you give it a go. It felt so good, if I still smoked, I'd a had a cigarette!

After my run, I felt kind of guilty about slighting Jillian, in only doing circuit #1, so I cranked out another 20 military pushups and that made me feel better. Went and fed the big dogs and got back up to the kitchen and fried up two large eggs over easy, and laid them over one slice of unbuttered toast. I've got to tell you, after the workout, as simple as it may sound, it tasted decadent. So, I'm sitting here, as Bren would say, coffee in hand, and just thanking God that I am still looking at the sod from the right side of the ground.

It is almost 9 in the morning. Where does the day go? I might just have to have another cup of coffee before I hit the shower and the workshop. Today is an All You Can Eat Soup Supper at the Optimist Club, but I shouldn't have any trouble staying on track there. I'll probably eat less calories than I would if we ate at home. Well, Folks, I don't want to ruin your Saturday by making you sit here and read my ramblings. Have a wonderful weekend. My workout calls for a Rest Day tomorrow, so I won't be doing anything but a 30 minute walk on the treadmill. Toodles!
