Avocado toast, because... avocado. That mozzarella is made in house. I want to move in. Bread, cheese, avocado. Sigh. Brunch out on the sidewalk at Matteo.

I think this is my third meal out since the madness began. So delicious. I like take out, but it’s not the same as sitting outside at a café. Also, i resisted the croissants. Saving that for another day. 🥐

Kat, I think you and I have very similar palates. I may have told you that already. I love croissants too, but usually have to resist unless I’m on vacation. Lol. So glad you were able to get out of the house and that you had a nice time at a cafe. I miss that so much! I haven’t been out to a restaurant since March. We ordered takeout maybe three times in total since the lockdown began. I think I spent like four hours a day cooking if not more. Kind of crazy. I don’t mind, but I miss having a meal at a restaurant so bad!

Love avocado toast. I normally make it with a fried or over easy egg with pepper flakes for breakfast.

NN I love a good croissant. I've been tempted to buy the ones at Costco more than once, but that's not what I want. It's gotta be worth it. Are you mostly savory, too? I lean that way most of the time unless I have a very specific craving.

Kat, yes, totally. I’m into mostly savory foods. I don’t care for sweets, but simple carbs like bread and potatoes are my weakness. I try to stick to proteins and veggies with some fruit like your meals tend to show. Btw, in all honesty, those croissants from Costco are amazing. You will never finish them before they dry out because one of those giant packs can feed a French army. Sometimes my parents get them and give us a couple. They’re really good, like bakery croissants or one from a cafe. Totally worth it in my opinion.
