A couple days late, but I swam my years in minutes and then a few more because I missed the timer going off. I’m only 8 minutes off a full hour without stopping at all, which is well past the 45 minute goal I wanted to hit by August. So, 54 minutes, 1167 strokes, heart rate steady between 128 and 133. And all this after a full day working in the yard. Big improvement from last year’s fitness level. I’ll have to look those stats up tomorrow, but pretty sure I was huffing and puffing between sets.
Edit to add data. Went and looked back at last summer same days in August. Smaller paddles, less resistance. Strokes were in the upper 500's and the current was slower by three notches. Heart rate was only in the upper 90's so I'm definitely working harder. All good stuff. Now, when I'm walking, I can really feel it. Pack walks with the dogs no issues keeping up these days.
