Intermittent Fasters! I need some help. Please read and help a sister out. Thank you in advance.
... Has anyone ever experienced withdrawals after stopping intermittent fasting for 2-3 days?
I went to Miami last weekend and stayed in an AirBnb with a bunch of women. We partied, drank, and ate so much. I made the decision to not fast at all that weekend, something which I had not done at all since I started intermittent fasting June 2018.
We had a blast. We relaxed and had tons of fun. It feels like I had never relaxed that hard in my life. And we ate sooooo much.
Well, I literally ate so much that it made me sick. Actually... I mean, I ate "normally" and it felt like a lot compared to intermittent fasting. I had breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, as I had done for many years. The first day I got back, when I started my fast, it felt great. As soon as a opened my window, I felt like a bus just ran over me. Ugh! That was Tuesday. It's now Saturday and I am still feeling nauseous, icky, full or air, and just bloated. I have this mild headache and low energy that don't seem to go away. And I always have this feeling like I may need to hurl. I called out of work yesterday and today.
Apparently, my body really likes intermittent fasting and is just torturing me for eating "normal" for more than one day. Wow. I hear you, body. The message is loud and clear.
I have a feeling that my body is still processing all of that food and it's very taxing on my body. I did eat meat, and I know that it takes a long time to clear the intestine. Sigh...
I don't know what to do to get rid of it. When I look it up, it just says to stay clear of unhealthy eating and fats. Not really helpful since that's not the problem anyway. Honestly, I don't even know how to look this up. The search for "intermittent fasting withdrawals" is not garnering helpful finds.
